Many people dismiss climate change as a superstition. It is not. It is the superstition of no one. It is real. It is happening now. It is vile. It is atrocious. It is dangerous. (It is also good inspiration for a horror novelist, but only if humanity survives.) It is unbelievable. It is the definition of terrible. It is the literal end of the world. It is abhorrent. It is the reality. It is absolute. But it can also be stopped before its iron fist clenches the heart of humanity. It can stop before the picture to the left is somewhere near reality. (Obviously, but what will happen will be 10 times worse and planets do not disintegrate.)
Currently, we are doing terrible in terms of climate change.
Climate change is also sometimes called global warming. However, this is inaccurate. Climate change does not only make the summers warmer. When it will get dangerous enough, it will cause weather to be more severe. If climate change is causing a potential threat to us now, imagine what it will be like when it is severe. If the weather is more severe, it also means that more dangerous snow storms will occur, and more frequently.
When talking about climate change , it is important to remember not to call it global warming, for it does more than warm; it also cools.
If you are one of those people who clear their throat indignantly and point to the Paris agreement, it would do you good to do something you clearly have not been doing, as not everyone follows the laws:
A good deal of the countries involved have not honored their laws and regulations.
The stand we are taking is not working. We are all in this together.
