We need to end all of the animal mills in this world. So please, do not go to a pet store to buy a pet, as most of the animals there come from animal mills.
If we stop going to pet stores and start going to animal shelters and rescue groups, the animal mills will start going out of business.
No more animals - either furry, prickly, scaly, or slimy - will be there, and animals mills will come to an end.
You can also adopt rescues. Give these wonderful animals a chance for a greater life.
This is the first step to saving animals.

Animal conservation areas seem like zoos at first glance, but they are very different. The purpose of animal conservation areas aren't to use animals for entertainment. The purpose of animal conservation areas are to care for sick or injured animals, and later release healthy animals back into the wild after teaching them how to survive. They teach you about animals as well.
In simpler words, an animal conservation area is basically a time capsule of an ecosystem that preserves animals; versus the zoo version in which animals are kept for pleasure and profit. Mainly the latter.
Note: Not all zoos are bad. Some actually care for and respect their animals, however rare this is.
