Many of us have pets, so let's make sure we treat them properly! Our pets should have enough water and food. They should eat food that is good for them. They should not eat most human foods. They should be loved and kept in a proper habitat. If you don't know if your pet is in a proper habitat check this wonderful website: http://www.kuddly.co/living/how-to-pick-the-perfect-habitat-for-pet/
Wild animals are free creatures that require space. They could be aggressive and can attack people when we invade. But many people capture them! Some may take care of the animals and are kind to them but others are cruel to those creatures and often sell them for money or injure them! The best thing to do in an encounter with a wild animal is to back away and admire them from afar. Remember to stay 100 yards away from a bear and 50 yards away from a deer (but if you see one on the sidewalk, just avoided it best as possible). A bear is only safe from afar.
Something they teach people at Yellowstone is "a fed bear is a dead bear." It means don't feed a bear, because:
A. They know very well how to survive on their own. They don't need or want our help.
B. Bears become dependent on humans and "beg" for food. Some people find this cute. However, as time goes on, they may exhibit aggressive behavior or "beg," and even though some people find it cute, others will find it dangerous, and the bear is often killed for this very reason.
C. The food may be bad for the bears. What is good or okay for us may not be good or okay for other animals, like bears.
This rule is not just a rule for bears; it is also a rule for other wild animals. It may be tempting to come closer to get just the perfect picture, but you are going to hurt yourself and/or the animal. Or maybe just that $1279.99 digital camera. Jokes apart, something horrific can still happen.
