Poaching, the illegal hunt, is a major global issue. Poachers drive many species to extinction to sell valuable body parts including: elephant tusks, rhino horns, pangolin scales, ape meat, and tiger, fox, and other animal pelts. By poaching, many lives were lost, families were broken, and ecosystems were sent off-kilter.
To prevent poaching, the only things we must do are stop our purchase of poached products and prevent it elsewhere. Most poached species are harmless. They are only dangerous if antagonized. They are all vital parts of their environment.
It is important for such people to know how to put food on their table. However, there are other options that don't require the death of endangered species. Many are recognizing this practice is wrong, and you can join them.
